Sierra Sportsmen Silhouette Shoot

We shoot every third weekend of the month.

Saturday - Long range rifle and black powder cartridge shoot

Sunday - Cowboy lever guns, big bore handgun, small bore handgun, hunter pistol and cast bullet rifle.

The matches are not NRA sanctioned due to the small amount of interest in the area although NRA rules apply.  If you would like to shoot a regulation match we can do that.  If you just want to bring the kid out and do some silhouette style plinking we can do that as well.

We have the targets and stands to shoot all the above mentioned disciplines.  All ranges are in yards not meters.  In the long range rifle muzzle velocity must be under 3000fps to avoid target damage.

The entry fees for the match are as follows:

$5 per match for club members.

$6 per match for non members.

If you have just come to plink there is no fee for members and a $6 fee for non members.

The rifle matches are shot from the standing position with the exception of BPCR, which is shot off sticks in the prone except for the 200 yard chickens.  Handguns are shot from the standing and prone or "freestyle".

Silhouette is excellent practice for hunting and general marksmanship with all your firearms.  Bring out that hunting rifle, handgun, or .22 and lots of ammo.  Don't forget the kids, they are welcome and have lots of fun.
